ABOUT
Taylor Sharp is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Raleigh, NC. His music takes inspiration from the rich harmonies and lush arrangements of 60's psych and chamber pop with the energy and experimentation of indie/alt music from the turn of the century. He has been releasing music since 2022, with tracks such as "Runaways" and "When There's No Music to Write" providing tight, danceable indie rock that's great for live shows. In 2024, he released his debut album "All of These Things", which consists of more personal, introspective songs incorporating more diverse range of influences such as classical music, jazz, and folk. Tracks like "Memoria" and "11 8" convey a nuanced sense of nostalgia through their storytelling lyrics and arrangements paying homage to artists like the Beatles and the Beach Boys.

Outside of his bedroom studio, Sharp has played local shows both solo and with his band, the Taylor Sharp Band. After their debut show at Rock the Quay in 2023, they have played in and around the Triangle area at local venues such as Cat's Cradle Back Room, Bond Brothers Eastside, Neptunes Parlour, Slim's Tavern, the Night Rider, and more. The Taylor Sharp Band features his sister Maryssa Sharp on drums, Kyle Hurd on guitar, and Noah Smith on bass. Together they bring Sharp's originals and a few fan-favorite covers onto the stage for a captivating show.
